Who Needs a Smoke Detector Anyway?

Okay quick story. We were cooking the other day and our smoke alarm started to go off, even though nothing was burning. We didn’t know how to shut it up. So we just pulled it off the wall and left it outside.  A few days later it rained, and when it got wet, the smoke alarm freaked out and started yelling again. We didn’t know what to do so we called the pensionsist and he said take the battery out. I took the battery out, and we left. Then as we were coming back in for the night, we heard something from inside the house. We got in and realized it was the same freaking smoke alarm. So the elder said cut all of the wires you can and so we cut all of the wires. Then it KEEPS FREAKING BEEPING. So I called the elder and he said "go outside, and throw that thing as hard as you can against a concrete wall." So I did it!! AND IT KEPT BEEPING.!!!!!!" Finally, we said a prayer that it would stop and it stopped, ha-ha. Good times.
